This is the start of a new series。Amanda's father, whom she loved dearly, has passed away and she and her mother are cleaning out his house。 Amanda finds a letter from her dad but she doesn't know what it means。As she and her mom both deal with his death, there is another surprise。 At the reading of the will Amanda and her mom are surprised by whom her father left his estate to。As the title suggest Amanda and the surpriseperson are left a farmhouse。The story ends on a cliffhanger of sorts。 This is the start of a new series。Amanda's father, whom she loved dearly, has passed away and she and her mother are cleaning out his house。 Amanda finds a letter from her dad but she doesn't know what it means。As she and her mom both deal with his death, there is another surprise。 At the reading of the will Amanda and her mom are surprised by whom her father left his estate to。As the title suggest Amanda and the surpriseperson are left a farmhouse。The story ends on a cliffhanger of sorts。 。。。more

Secrets are always so fascinating! Certainly keeps me reading as I want to know more about the letter Amanda's dad left and all the things he hasn't shared with them。 Quick and easy to read! The Farmhouse, Book #1, sets the stage for The Rocky Mountain series。 It begins with a mother and her daughter clearing out the home of the (24-year-old) young woman's father。 He was a writer of some 20 books and appeared to have kept a very tidy home。 The book centers on the will, left by the father, and those who will inherit his estate。 Having recently experienced the loss of a parent, this book gave me pause to recall just what it was like to clear out the belongings of a parent, find object The Farmhouse, Book #1, sets the stage for The Rocky Mountain series。 It begins with a mother and her daughter clearing out the home of the (24-year-old) young woman's father。 He was a writer of some 20 books and appeared to have kept a very tidy home。 The book centers on the will, left by the father, and those who will inherit his estate。 Having recently experienced the loss of a parent, this book gave me pause to recall just what it was like to clear out the belongings of a parent, find objects that are surprising, and attempt to determine whether items should be kept, given to family members, donated to charity, or saved in a box to be evaluated on another day。 The ending of this book entices the reader to move on to Book #2。 This book was received free and this is my honest review。 。。。more

What a blow ending。Definitely makes me need to read next book。 Amanda is strong。 I do not know what I would of done getting that letter and then the will after having to go through your fathers whole house and clean it out。I have experienced what Amanda experiences at the end。 So this feels so real。I received this book free from author for an honest review。

This is a grabber from the get go。 This first segment in a new series has several ways that set right in and effortlessly captured my attention。 I enjoyed being carried along with the confusion and shared grief of the characters when their loss of a loved one, father and husband, turns to confusion by a vague ‘apology’ letter and the reading of the will。 I received a free ARC copy for an honest review。Sis

I enjoyed this introduction to the Farmhouse。 After her father dies, Amanda finds out that he left her half of a ranch in Colorado that she didn't know he had。 She has no idea who he left the other half to, she doesn't know anyone by that name。 I am looking forward to finding out how Amanda reacts to learning what secrets her father kept from her。。。highly recommend。 I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review。 I enjoyed this introduction to the Farmhouse。 After her father dies, Amanda finds out that he left her half of a ranch in Colorado that she didn't know he had。 She has no idea who he left the other half to, she doesn't know anyone by that name。 I am looking forward to finding out how Amanda reacts to learning what secrets her father kept from her。。。highly recommend。 I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review。 。。。more

The crappy thing about short and easy reads in a series is that it ends when you want to just sit there and read on! So, yes this book really had me, I couldn't put it down and I finished it in a couple of hours。Since this is book #1 of the series, we learn about Amanda and the people who is in her life, her mother and best friend Jules。 While Amanda and her mother grieve the lost of her father, they discover something that her father had never told them。We see how both Amanda and her mom takes The crappy thing about short and easy reads in a series is that it ends when you want to just sit there and read on! I think I will love this new series。 It's off to a good start, and not so many characters to deal with that makes it hard to keep up with。 Amanda has just lost her dad & he has left her a strange letter that she found。 She doesn't understand what he s trying to tell her & she doesn't want to show it to her mother。 When they go for the reading of the will he leaves her mother an anormous amount of money。 He leaves Amanda & some other woman that neither of them even knows a farmhouse that Amanda o I think I will love this new series。 It's off to a good start, and not so many characters to deal with that makes it hard to keep up with。 Amanda has just lost her dad & he has left her a strange letter that she found。 She doesn't understand what he s trying to tell her & she doesn't want to show it to her mother。 When they go for the reading of the will he leaves her mother an anormous amount of money。 He leaves Amanda & some other woman that neither of them even knows a farmhouse that Amanda or her Mother even knew he had, so begins the mystery。 Amanda then wonders if that ties in with the strange letter of her dad asking her forgiveness。 She wonders if that has something to do with him asking for her forgiveness。 What is all of this about & where is it going to lead。 Can't wait for book 2I received this book for free & I'm giving my review of this book of my own free will。 I think this is going to be a good series, much better than the last one。 。。。more

Amanda’s Father has passed away。 While going through his things, she finds a letter, addressed to her but can’t figure out what all it means。 As she carefully discusses the letter with a friend and eventually her mom, she finally discovers what she believes her dad meant by it。 This books stops on a cliffhanger, making me want book two to know what happens next!*I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review。 All opinions are my own。

The Farm House from Jessie Kelley is a well written book based on Christian principles。 An estate leaves a farm to a young woman, along with a half-sister she never knew existed。 A great start to an exciting new series。 A nice book to read
